HB 1275 is moving on a fast track. It was debated on the floor of the House Wednesday, March 8, and two amendments were adopted. It was scheduled for further discussion on Monday, March 13.
SB 912 has been voted out of the Senate Education Committee Do Pass.

It seems to me that perhaps this legislation should not be fast-tracked. A little more time spent planning might produce a more acceptable product in the end. There seem to be many questions that should be answered and details that should be worked out before we get to an implementation of this type of legislation and I haven’t seen any organization either private or public that has a “one size fits all” solution for distance learning. I’m sure that you know the old carpenters axiom. "Measure twice, cut once"
